LS4 camera warmup procedure

BEFORE STARTING
  1. Make sure that the vacuum pump station is ready to go in case it is needed. As the getter releases molecules, the pressure will rise significantly. Also, keep the Archon bias voltages enabled until the dewar has warmed up substantially (getter >-60 C). Make sure to keep the dry air supply flowing until the temperature as indicated by the getter is >10 C.
  2. Only if using vacuum pump, switch air supply line from the shutter to the pneumatic valve and readjust line pressure to 75 psi.

TURN OFF CRYOCOOLERS

  1. Push Off on both the cryo-compressors.
  2. Turn off the water chillers.
CONFIGURE LAKESHORE
  1. Turn ON setpoint ramping for Output A and Output B and set the ramp rate to ~1 K/min.
    1. Push Output Setup button (this is button "4").
    2. Push Output 1. Use arrow buttons to go down to Setpoint Ramping.
    3. Press Enter and change this to On (if it is not already On) and press Enter to confirm this selection.
    4. Navigate down the menu to Ramp Rate and check that the value is set correctly. If not, press Enter and key-in the desired value.
    5. Press Escape to return to the main screen.
    6. Repeat for Output 2.
  2. Set the Setpoint to around +10 C for both A and B.
    1. Press Setpoint button and key-in the desired temperature. Check the sign by using the +/- key to make sure it is correct.
    2. Set this setpoint for both A and B by pressing the buttons "A" and "B" making sure that both are set properly.

START TEMPERATURE MONITORING
On ls4-workstn, start the temperature and pressure monitoring scripts to record these data, if not already started.
Use a GNU screen to keep the scripts running in virtual consoles in the background, e.g., screen -S monitoring
